The Vialattea is one of the largest ski areas in the world, with km of perfectly connected ski slopes, which connect the stations of Sestriere, Sauze d’Oulx, Sansicario, Cesana, Pragelato, Claviere, and the French resort of Montgenèvre.
The area also hosted the XX Olympic Games of Turin 2006, for which several new ski lifts and ski facilities were built. The ski area boasts a wide variety of slopes for all levels, beautiful and sunny snow expanses and panoramic trails that connect historic and traditional villages with modern resorts.
The Vialattea area is also known for its excellent food. In fact it has more than 30 bar-restaurants on track, most of which are located in traditional chalets with sunny terraces that offer an incomparable view of the surrounding mountains.
The Vialattera district is located in Piedmont, in north-western Italy, and is easily accessible from Turin, Milan and Lyon. The Vialattea in figures:
