a skier’s paradise
A world-renowned resort in the Aosta Valley, Courmayeur is famous for its stunning landscapes and warm hospitality. The historic town exudes an authentic Alpine atmosphere, whether strolling along the central Via Roma or exploring its charming hidden corners.
Located at 1,224 meters above sea level, Courmayeur lies at the foot of the Mont Blanc massif, in a lush valley surrounded by fir and larch forests, mountains, glaciers, and picturesque traditional villages along the Dora Baltea river that flows through the town and the entire Aosta Valley.
The Courmayeur ski area
Courmayeur’s ski area is fun and safe for everyone. It consists of two main sectors: Chécrouit and Val Vény, offering slopes suitable for beginners, intermediates, experts, and snowboarders.
Modern and fast lifts give access to slopes with spectacular views of Mont Blanc, the “Roof of Europe,” with pistes maintained in excellent condition thanks to artificial snow systems.
For après-ski enthusiasts or those wanting a high-altitude dinner, the Courmayeur cable car remains open until midnight. Enjoy an evening aperitif or dinner while watching the sunset over the snowy slopes and the twinkling lights of the town below.

100 km of skiing, including 42 km of prepared pistes and off-piste areas.
33 slopes: 11 blue, 17 red, 5 black.
Lifts: 4 cable cars, 2 gondolas, 8 chairlifts, 3 surface lifts, and 1 magic carpet.
Vallée Blanche descent: a spectacular off-piste route over 20 km on the Mer de Glace glacier, starting from Punta Helbronner at 3,466 meters, accessible via the breathtaking Skyway Mont Blanc.
